Mini Rosemary Kebabs Basil Lemonade

Swap plain wooden skewers with fresh rosemary stalks. They'll infuse any kebabs with a fragrant flavour. Create holes strips of meat with a wooden skewer first, then thread the meat onto the rosemary stalk. Drizzle well with olive oil, or marinate if preferred, before grilling as usual.

 

Makes about 2 litres.

500ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
80-150ml sugar (to suit your taste)
30ml finely shredded basil leaves

Mix all the ingredients together with 1,5 litres of water. Chill the lemonade until ready to serve. Strain the juice before serving. if you would prefer not to have the herb pieces in the drink.

A Berry Cooler
About 3 litres of juice.

Mix about 2 litres berry juice, 1 litre ginger ale or lemonade and 125ml sliced strawberries together with ice cubes.

Iced Red Tea
Makes 8 cups

4 cups boiling water
8 regular size red tea or red zinger tea bags
2 cups cold water
1/2 cup sugar

Pour 4 cups boiling water over tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags from water, squeeze gently. Add 2 cups cold water and 1/2 cup sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves. Serve over ice.

A few drinks for your brunch.
